The season of confirmation.

The theme of the 2022-2023 season of the First Lego League, Superpowered, challenged us to explore the world of energy. Our team decided to focus on an innovative solution: the co-combustion of biomass in coal-fired power plants, an idea aimed at making existing plants more sustainable.

For our project, we created a comprehensive catalog of the necessary modifications for a coal plant, specifically studying the flue gas treatment line and special alloys to resist high-temperature corrosion in the boiler heat exchanger. It was an experience that allowed us to understand how ingenuity and collaboration can make a difference in improving existing technologies.

On the competition field, in the robot game, we achieved results we are very proud of. The new robot design, created at the end of the previous year, exceeded our expectations and allowed us to achieve very high scores, both during the qualifiers and in the national final. Our effort was rewarded: we won second place, right behind our friends from the Astrogate team.

This was also the season when we chose the color purple, which has become a symbol of our team and still accompanies us today. But perhaps the most important aspect was something else: we gained a new awareness. Not only are we proud of the results achieved, but we also realized that from that moment on, we would have the responsibility to be a point of reference for other teams, helping and inspiring them along their journey.

This season was not just a competition; it was a fundamental stage of our journey, which taught us what it means to be a team and how our commitment can make a difference.
